You’ll be visiting many different venues before you deciding on the perfect place to marry your best friend. Each venue offering something a little different, with huge amounts of information thrown at you, but remember one thing- you have lots of important questions to ask too!
Ensure you have all the essential information with full knowledge of what each element includes before putting down the deposit to secure- eek!

- Is our date available?
- How long can I provisionally hold a date for?
- How many guests can you accommodate in the day and the evening?
- Is the venue licensed for civil ceremonies?
- Can the venue offer outdoors services?
- Are there specific rooms available for the ceremony?
- Is the wedding venue available for exclusive hire?
- Who will be the point of contact in the lead-up to the wedding?
- Do you have suppliers you would like us to use?- can we see a list with recommendations please?
- Do you have accommodation on site?
- Is there enough parking for all of the guests?
- Is a shuttle-bus is required, are you able to help with the organisation of this?
- Is there any overnight accommodation you provide? Are there any discounts available for the wedding party? Is there a special room for the newlyweds?
- Are there areas for both of us to get ready the morning of the wedding?
- Can refreshments for the parties be provided and at what cost?
- Could we have our rehearsal dinner at this venue? What is the cost? What about a morning after breakfast/brunch/lunch?
- What is the changeover plan for the ceremony to the reception room?
- How flexible are you with timings of the day?
- Are there any décor restrictions?
- Are fireworks/confetti allowed?
- Do you offer a complimentary menu tasting within the catering cost?
- What menu options do you have and do you cater for all dietary requirements? Day and evening options?
- Do you have seperate vendor meals available?
- Are VAT/TAX and service charge included in the catering costs?
- Are crockery and linen included in the price?
- What size tables do you have?
- Is there a cake-cutting fee? Do you provide utensils for this?
- Can you accommodate a live band or DJ? When can they set up? Do you have a noise limit?
- Could we plug an iPhone into the system?
- Is there a minimum spend on the bar? Is cash and card available?
- Is there a corkage fee? Can external drinks be brought into the venue and at what cost?
- What time does our evening reception need to finish?
- Can this be extended?
- Do you have disabled access?
- How many toilets are there?
- Is there somewhere we can securely store our wedding gifts?
- How much will the initial deposit be and when is the final payment due?
- Are payment plans available?
- Is the deposit refundable?
- What’s the cancellation policy?
- Is VAT included in all the prices you have given us?
- Do you provide coat check services? What is the cost of this?
- Are there any extra charges for staff/cleaning, room hire that are included in the prices already provided?
- Are there any venue restrictions?
- Where can we have photographs taken?
- Do you have public liability insurance?
- If the wedding is outside, what are the options encase of inclement weather? Do you provide, heaters/umbrella’s for guests? At what cost?
